The RVS-112-W Vehicle Reversing Aid is a waterproof backup sensor system designed to warn drivers of potential obstacles up to 8ft away. Using ultrasonic echo location sonar technology, the system is activated when the vehicle is in reverse. A 4 zone variable audio pulse provides the driver with audible alerts as they back closer to obstacles. However, the system has blind spots due to the nature of the sonar pulse, so a special warning message and loud tone will sound if an object enters these areas. This feature is especially helpful for detecting moving objects such as pedestrians, animals, forklifts, and other vehicles that may be behind the vehicle. The intelligent sensors can distinguish between stationary objects and moving objects, allowing for more flexibility in installation placement.
Note: In addition to ground and reverse (trigger) power, you must also connect the RVS-112-W to a constant power source.
The RVS-112-W only works with certain model numbers, please call us before ordering to make sure its compatible.
Please note that the audio alarms will only work when using a monitor equipped with a speaker.
Note: Please install interface of module towards the ground to reduce dust during use.
